Meet our leadership team

John Power, Chief Executive Officer

As CEO of Fluence Technologies John is responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution across all areas of the company. John was CEO at Longview Solutions, a global CPM software provider, for ten years and has worked in technology for over thirty years at organizations including Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and Southam Inc. John lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Don Mal, Executive Chairman

As Executive Chairman of Fluence Technologies, Don is responsible for helping lead the company’s go-to-market efforts and securing long term customers and partners while ensuring a high level of corporate governance. Most recently Don was the co-founder and CEO of Vena Solutions, a SaaS Finance Process Solutions company where he led the growth of the company to over 300 employees with 700 customers worldwide. Previously Don spent 25 years leading sales and marketing at various B2B software companies including Clarity Systems, an IBM company.

Hervé Capo – VP – Product

As Vice President (VP) of Product, Hervé has developed the engine that powers Fluence and helps our clients meet their financial consolidation challenges . He is dedicated when it comes to helping customers and finding ways to do things more efficiently. Previously Hervé has designed and developed the financial consolidation engines for IBM (Consolidator & Controller), OutlookSoft now SAP BPC and Clarity Systems (IBM). His goal has always been to ensure the technology is powerful, modern and intelligent yet easy to use on a daily basis.

Josh Mal – SVP of Growth

As SVP of Growth at Fluence, Josh leads both marketing and sales efforts. With over 10 years of executive leadership experience at Clarity Systems, IBM and Vena Solutions (where he was the 1st employee). He works closely with the CEO and Executive Chairman on strategy, messaging, culture and mission. He is excited to have the opportunity to effect positive change in others by taking a common interest among team members and transforming it into a passionately shared goal.

Shobha Lee – Director – Business Development

As Director of Business Development at Fluence, Shobha leads the team that builds a pipeline of sales opportunities for account executives, conducting and managing the sales cycle process from initial contact through to initial qualification.  She works closely with the marketing team and SVP of Growth on strategy, territory planning and messaging. Shobha has excelled in various business development roles in the past 10 years, and is an extremely passionate member of the Fluence team.
